写得很不错。  宗教革命－宗教战争，必然是宗教自由政策的motivation. 不过有些遗漏。对美国独立产生巨大影响的启蒙运动(Enlightenment)，被华丽丽忽视了。 美国的启蒙运动居功甚伟的富兰克林，独立战争的精神教父富兰克林，和他Founding Fathers 小盆友，很多都是Deist, or closet Deist.

启蒙运动Enlightenment是一个反宗教的哲学运动。 成功在美洲点了一串火，然后美国独立了，而且最后和平地解决了财产纠纷，分权摩擦，甚至血仇，把宗教自由写入宪法Bill of Rights头条。 不幸的是，同样的思想，在法国也点了一串火，20年人头滚滚，把宗教也自由了（但是实际上是废止宗教）。

所以同样的“宗教平等”思想启蒙运动, 有没有“和大怨”的社会机制？ 这就是生与死的差别。 不提没有“启蒙运动”的国家，至今宗教只有两个暴力洗脑选择。1）一个国教  2）一个宗教都没有。  反正没有宗教自由。
